Porthleven Lifeboat Day
Sunday 2nd August 2026, 10am - 4pm
Lifeboat displays and demonstrations from the RNLI. Family entertainment including stalls and children’s activities. Live music including sea shanties, local choirs and bands. Plenty of food, drink and local business offerings on the day. Spend time in Porthleven and really see the harbour come to life!
A well established end of the summer tradition, locals gather at The Moors Recreation Ground and parade with their paraffin torches through the town and around the harbour head. The parade concludes with live music and performances and is a family friendly event. Torches can be purchased from Four Crows Gallery or The Harbour Inn if you would like to join in!

Start your festive season with the Christmas light Switch on! Featuring the grand unveiling of twinkling Porthleven themed harbour lights, The Shipyard Market’s festive offerings, Santa’s Grotto and music from Porthleven Town Band all while you enjoy a mulled wine to get you in the Christmas spirit!
